Associate Fund Manager

The Central Finance Board of the Methodist Church and its FCA regulated subsidiary Epworth Investment Management Limited are hiring a full time Associate Fund Manager.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to work within our investment team to support the smooth running of our funds and client portfolios.

The basic salary will be in the range of £30,000 – £35,000 with a highly attractive pension scheme. The CFB is a not-for-profit organisation and there are therefore limited opportunities for a general bonus scheme.

Epworth Investment Management Ltd (Epworth) is a provider of asset and investment management services to the Charity and Faith sector in the United Kingdom. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Central Finance Board of the Methodist Church (CFB) and all client assets are managed following an ethical approach based upon Christian teaching. The consolidated assets under management of the two organisations are approximately £1.3bn. Epworth has a range of Charity Authorized Investment Funds and a portfolio management service. Clients are mainly Church and other faith groups.

The CFB has a long history in ethical investing dating to 1974 and is believed to have had the first ethical investment committee in the UK. Both organisations are active ethical investors with high profile company engagement and voting policies.

Summary of role

You will be a key part of delivering our very best portfolio outcomes to our clients. Ideally you will have some experience in a portfolio or investment support role.

The Associate Fund Manager will be a part of the investment team for the CFB and Epworth, reporting to the Head of Research. The key focus of the role will be supporting the investment team in both administrative and investment tasks. It will be quite a wide ranging role, with tasks including but not limited to:

  • Data reconciliation
  • Fund flow oversights and trade management
  • Reviewing and signing authorisations across our range of funds
  • Preparation of review packs for portfolios and funds
  • Fund data analytics
  • Supporting client reporting across Funds and portfolios.

We will support professional development, including appropriate examination support.
